Our summer social this year was a picnic held at Taplow Court on the 4th August. Everybody brought delicious food to share and it was lovely to reminisce with everyone about the last year and look forward to the next one!

We held our Summer Concert 'Sixties Sizzlers' on Saturday 27th July at the United Reformed Church in Maidenhead.

It was great fun with a live band supporting and choir members dressing up in outfits to match the music!

The Choir Christmas Party was held at The Cricketers in Littlewick Green on Tuesday 11th December. There was a delicious 2 course meal, drinks, singing, and general merry-making... a great way to see out the year!

Our Christmas Concert on Saturday 8th December was held once again at the lovely United Reformed Church with special guests MisSpent Ukes, with a programme of festive tunes and fun arrangements.

The Maidenhead Community Choir was delighted to hold a soul workshop and concert with former Drifters lead-singer Steve V King on July 28th.

Using repertoire from The Drifters charismatic vocalist Steve showed us how to warm-up, create an expressive performance and add some smooth moves to the song.

After the workshop we held a concert—Steve V King sang songs from the history of The Drifters, the Maidenhead Community Choir performed a few soul numbers, and they joined forces on The Drifters' hit 'Under the Boardwalk' and finished off the concert with a mash-up of 'Love Train/Put a Little Love in Your Heart'.

The workshop was open to the public and we got a wonderful number of participants from the local community. The church was packed full and everyone had a great time.

Our summer social was a potluck garden party held on 30th June at choir member Joy's house. We enjoyed making music and socialising in the beautiful weather. Thanks to Joy for opening up her home for us.
